Erika Stahl is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Planner (P.P.) and a licensed American Institute of Certified Planner(AICP). Erika has approximately 12 years of diverse planning experience ranging from Affordable Housing, Military Compatibility Planning, Transportation Planning, Post Disaster Planning, Sustainable and Resiliency Planning, Economic Development Planning and long range planning. Erika is also a managing partner of Swick, Stahl and McGurk Planning Associates LLC. She has been an AICP/PP licensed planner since March 8, 2013.
Erika Stahl has extensive experience developing Master Plans and Smart Growth Plans for Plan Endorsement and successfully petitioned the State Planning Commission for Toms River Township centers and cores. She also has experience developing planning reports for US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program including Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing, 5-year Comprehensive Plans, and Annual Action Plans. Erika's work experience includes experience at the state, county, and local government level. She has experience collaborating with officials at various federal and state agencies such as the US Department of Transportation, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, US Department of Defense, Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as NJ Department of Environmental Protection, NJ Office of Planning Advocacy, NJ Department of Community Affairs, and NJ Department of Transportation.
Erika Stahl has extensive experience project managing grants such as, but not inclusive of, several Post Sandy Planning Grants, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and New Jersey Department of Transportation grants. Erika also prepares planning reports for the Toms River Planning Board, Master Plans, Area in Need of Redevelopment and Area in Need of Rehabilitation planning reports and other planning reports as required.
Erika Stahl graduated from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy in 2012 with a Masters of City and Regional Planning and from Rutgers University in 2007 with a Major in Environmental Planning and Minor in City Planning. In 2019 Erika obtained NJ Certified Public Manager (CPM) certificate credentials through a joint Rutgers University and New Jersey Public Services Commission program.
Erika Stahl is a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association, as well as a member of the National American Planning Association. Erika has volunteered with both Point Pleasant Borough and Toms River Township Green Teams, Community Arts Project (artist advocacy organization), and Business Improvement District subcommitees. Erika was the founder of the Toms River Township Green Team and has successfully assisted the team to secure Sustainable Jersey Bronze certification for two rounds. She has presented at the New Jersey American Planning Association Conferences in 2013 and in 2018. She has also presented at Sustainable South Jersey (formerly Sustainable Cherry Hill) in 2018.
Colleen McGurk is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Planner (P.P.) and a licensed American Institute of Certified Planner(AICP). Colleen has over 20 years of experience in Land Use Planning in New Jersey with a wide range of government entities, including Federal, State and local government. Colleen is also a managing partner of Swick, Stahl and McGurk Planning Associates LLC.
Colleen McGurk has years of experience in crafting Land Development Ordinances and Master Plans designed specifically for each municipality's needs and goals. She also has experience enforcing the State Development and Redevelopment Plan while assisting municipalities obtain Plan Endorsement. Colleen has experience developing long range plans for storm damaged communities while working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Colleen also has experience crafting Environmental planning policies.
Colleen McGurk's work experience includes experience at the federal, state, and local government level. She has experience collaborating with officials at various federal and state agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as NJ Department of Environmental Protection, NJ Office of Planning Advocacy, NJ Department of Community Affairs, and NJ Department of Transportation, NJ County Planners Association, Delaware Valley Raritan Regional Commission, and NJ State Brownfields Redevelopment Task Force.
Colleen McGurk graduated from Boston University in 1996 with a Masters in Urban Planning and from Seton Hall University in 1989 with a Major in Political Science.
Colleen McGurk is a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association, as well as a member of the National American Planning Association.
Colleen McGurk has volunteered on the Toms River Green Team, the Old Bridge Open Space Committee, the East Brunswick Green Team and the East Brunswick Sustainable Jersey Committee. She was instrumental in achieving Bronze Certification for both Toms River and East Brunswick with Sustainable Jersey. Colleen has also volunteered with Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity.
